Standing Silence
2009
In this work, a slender, faceless figure stands within a purified, colored space. More than a portrait, it is a silent presence. The absence of facial features shifts the viewer’s attention away from individual identity and toward an inner, universal experience.
The body, treated as a calm yet dense form, becomes the site of a suspended identity—an intimate silence and a subtle tension between being and being seen. The background color, intense yet controlled, reinforces this duality between restraint and inner tension.
