In this two-hour workshop, in which most of the participants were older women, we focused on creating small sculptures and decorative objects using clay. It was a deeply energizing and rewarding experience for both the participants and myself. As the workshop took place close to Halloween, many of the pieces we created were functional decorations inspired by the season. Some participants made small containers for their jewelry, while others created smaller forms intended for making jewelry. At the end of the session, I also taught them how to properly dry their pieces and, if they wished, how to paint them later using acrylics.
