The Embrace of the Soul

Acrylic on Canvas 30*91 cm -2024

In this painting, a female figure with closed eyes folds into her own embrace — as if seeking refuge within herself in a vast, silent blue. Green vines gently wrap around her body, symbolizing both a connection to nature and a quiet kind of entanglement.
The sun, pale yellow and distant, offers no warmth. It shines with the promise of hope, yet carries a quiet sorrow.
This piece was created at the beginning of the artist’s migration to Canada — a time marked by intense loneliness, displacement, and grief.
And yet, within that silence and sadness, the self-embrace speaks of tenderness, acceptance, and an inner act of rebuilding.
